Types of Rakhi

Raksha Bandhan is a special festival in Hindu religion that celebrates the bond between brother and sister by tying a holy thread around the wrist of brother. This thread is known as ‘Rakhi.’ It is believed that the thread tied by the sister has the power of protecting the brother. Once the custom is perfomed , the brother gifts the sister a gift. Now a days, for siblings who stay away from eachother, gifts are given from both end. There are various kinds of Rakhi and each one is explained in detail below :

Zardozi Rakhis: These rakhis are artistically handmade using zardozi and pearls neatly hand-woven with resham thread to give these rakhis a colorful look.

Shubh Rakhis : Shubh Rakhis are considered ethnic and auspicious . They come in various designs like Om , swastik, Rudraksh and more. These rakhis are mainly given to elderly brothers.

Diamond Rakhis : This splendid pair of rakhis are beautifully designed and hand-woven together with color beads and diamond studded motifs to make these rakhis elegant and glittering.

Kundan Rakhis : This splendid pair of rakhis are beautifully designed and hand-woven together with kundan beads to make these rakhis elegant and glittering.

Bhaiya Bhabhi Rakhi Set :The Lumba (rakhi for Bhabhi) is made matching to the brothers Rakhi with a beautfiul design with stones dangling at the bottom . It has a matching rakhi for the brother.

Kids Rakhi : Kids Rakhi comes in the form of various cartoon characters like angry bird, tom and jerry , micket mouse and many more.

Diamond and Gold Rakhi : These Rakhis are made with certain gms of gold and silver and are comparatively more expensive than the others. They come in various designs and sizes.
